I find western media and politicians support for genocide unbelievable, and who the f**k goes to a fun fun fun festival a couple of kilometers from the largest concentration camp in history? It ghoulish. But then Israel and the western powers have become ghoulish.

a minor nit to pick -- Caen in Normandy, not Cannes, in the south of France.

It’s almost like you feel you’re living in alternate reality. You see the pictures on what’s going on in Gaza on your social media feed. Then you look at news and they say October 7th are so horrific and you don’t see anything other than the concert.

This is a great article. I found it by accident when I was researching an article on the Hamas attack and Hamas in general. Very good work. With some excellent analysis.

Thank you Justin. Great work. The armed forces of the resistance seems to have had their action well planned; what would they have gained by attacking folks at a music festival? Were there any videos from the festival? Do they show resistance fighters in uniform?

The festival was apparently moved to that location - right beside the fence and beside a major military base (Reim) - 2-3 days before Oct 7, presumably long after the date was chosen for the attack. I think the nature of raves is that the location is only announced last-minute. There are videos from the festival and as far as I know there were firefights at the festival between uniformed resistance fighters and Israeli military, police, and armed civilians.
